The Problem
Melbourne University needed a new, thought provoking and inspiring brand platform for Australia’s number one university. It also had to showcase the work of the university’s staff, researchers and alumni. As well as feature those people on the TV and online spots. And the University campus. And remote campuses. No small ask.
The Solution
Working with Walkley Award Winning photographer David Maurice Smith we developed an idea to show the important work that the academics employed by Melbourne Uni were doing. Stories like (featured below) Dr Michael-Shawn Fletcher's work taking core samples from the earth to establish and research how Indigenous Australians managed the land centuries ago. Or how particle physicists Elizabetta Barberio and Maddy Zurowski custom built a lab 1km underground to search the universe for elusive dark matter. In addition to the stories we created gritty reportage-style OOH, an outline for a podcast series and on-campus activations.
